John F Duval – Editor

John Duval is the founder & editor of intothegrain.com (ITG) and itgexpress.com. He started playing golf as a sophomore in High School and within a year he walked on the varsity golf team as the #1 player. In 1997 he moved to Florida to pursue a career in golf, and later in information technology. John has done just about every golf related job there is. He’s been an assistant pro, golf coach and greens keeper and also has several years in golf retail. In 2009, he used his years of golf industry and IT experience to create intothegrain.com. 3 years later he launched the companion site to ITG, called ITGexpress.com. John still plays tournament golf and carries a +1 handicap index. In his spare time he likes to ski, and also plays tennis and hockey.

Tim Davenport – Contributor

Although he is not new to the golf industry, Tim is brand new to the blogging world. Originally from Pasadena, Maryland, Tim served as a dedicated Law Enforcement Officer before moving to Florida in 1997 to pursue a career in Golf. Since then, Tim has performed a multitude of golf related jobs at some of the most esteemed courses in the state. He has also been involved with PGA Tour events like the Transitions Championship (formerly known as the PODS Championship) while employed at the famed Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club. Like many of us, Tim loves to tinker with clubs and has a strong foundation and good technical knowledge in club building and repair. Tim plays to a 10 handicap.

Dave Andrews – Contributor

Dave Andrews is a Harvard-educated former television news reporter. Dave is an avid golfer who has become a fan of the Duramed Futures Tour and is the author of Pops and Sunshine, a novel and screenplay about life on tour. His home course in New Hampshire is annually the site of one of the tour’s events.

Lindsay Dolamore – Product Tester

Originally from New Zealand, Lindsay was one of the country’s brightest young Cricket stars before a shoulder injury ended his career prematurely. He moved to South Florida in the 90s and quickly made a name for himself in real estate. An avid golfer, Lindsay plays to a scratch handicap and loves testing new clubs and equipment. He’s always looking for a few more yards and he’s willing to try anything, which makes him a perfect tester for ITG and ITGexpress. His feedback is reflected in all our product reviews.
